Despite the release date of early June, the album was being sold in many countries during the last week of May.
Several different drummers are featured on this album:
Matt Walker: Tracks 1, 2, 6, 10, 11 and 13
Joey Waronker: Tracks 3-5 and 9
Matt Cameron: Track 14
Bon Harris (drum programming): Tracks 2-5, 7-9 and 13
Other guests include Jimmy & Dennis Flemion of the Frogs (backup vocals on "To Sheila" & "Behold! The Night Mare"); Bon Harris of Nizer Ebb (backup vocals on "For Martha"); producer Brad Wood (backup vocals on "Behold! The Night Mare" and organ on "Blank Page").
"17" is actually the vocal line (played on piano) of the then-unreleased song "Blissed and Gone", which
had been played live a handful of times, and was later released in an alternate version on the Still Becoming Apart promo, and again on the Greatest Hits/Judas O compilation and the digital Rarities and B-Sides collection.
The Japanese version of the album adds an extra track
(Once in a While) after Blank Page and before 17, making 17 the 17th track. It also features lyrics
in English and Japanese, and writings in Japanese
(presumably about Adore) dated 15 April 1998.
The 2LP version of the album is a mono mix, and splits
the album over 3 sides (the 4th side is left blank). It
comes in a double gatefold cover, featuring the Adore
album artwork in full color, as opposed to black and
white on the CD/CS release.
The 2-disc set is the full album with an extra CD containing the Ava Adore & Perfect videos in VCD format. The VCD format can be played on computers and on DVD players.
The 2014 Deluxe Re-Issue comes as a 6CD+DVD set, a 2LP (currently unclear whether stereo or mono), and Standard and Deluxe digital versions.
