Pluggelectric review
by XSpaceboy1
Title: Pluggelectric
Overall Impression/Rating: 9

Notes on performances of each song:
Total time: 66:02
The track times are all put on the back of the CD but many are wrong, so I am putting the correct track times here.
    Acoustic Set - Studio
Recorded Live At The "VPRO Studios" In Hilversum, Holland, July 1993
  1. Spaceboy 4:09
This is a rare acoustic version of Spaceboy. At the end of this track he introduces the next one: "This is, um, Moonlight - Dancing In The Moonlight by Thin Lizzy."
  2. Dancing In The Moonlight 4:07
This is a really beautiful song. It's somewhat rare; it's only official release has been on the Disarm (Heart) Single.
  3. Rocket 4:20
    This sounds real cool acoustic.
  4. Cherub Rock 4:30
If you have Vieuphoria or Earphoria this sounds very similar to the Cherub Rock on that.
  5. Today 3:24
This acoustic version of Today sounds kinda slow, but good. I always like it when Billy screams "known" at the end of this song, but he doesn't here. Otherwise, I would've given this CD a 10 rating.
  6. Disarm 3:23
In this song, Billy sounds very, um, what's the right word? Cute, yeah that's it. It's just the way he is singing it plus his voice cracks when he sings "cut" in the "cut you like you want me to" line.
    Electric Set - Soundboard
Recorded live in Dronten, Belgium at the Lowlands Paradise Festival, August 27, 1993
  7. Siva - Disarm 5:00
This is mislabeled on the CD as I Am One - Disarm, but it's really Siva - Disarm. Siva is short, ending at the 0:43 mark on the track. It starts off with a cool scream & then the "I don't live" part. When Disarm is finished, Billy says (keep in mind this is in Belgium so the crowd doesn't understand a word of English,) "Thank you, thanks for coming. I hope you have a good time and, um, stay warm with your loved ones, and eat good food, and [James starts to say something, but Billy talks over him] dont litter."
  8. Geek U.S.A. 6:06
    Cool live version.
  9. Drown 6:41
Some versions of Pluggelectric do not include Drown; my version does. This is the best live performance of Drown I have ever heard. It starts with the guitar a little bit on track 8 after Geek U.S.A. finishes (from 5:41 to 5:59.) After this song Billy says to the audience, "Sorry I can't like come down. Oh, you wanna hear songs by other people? [guitar] Yes, I know we're American. [More guitar - probably James] They don't know that song here."
  10. I Am One 4:08
    Cool live version.
  11. Cherub Rock 5:10
D'arcy, as usual, sings backup in this song but you can't hear her too well till the end, because Billy sings so loud. At the end of this track Billy introduces the next song with, "This is called Silverfuck."
  12. Silverfuck 10:55
As usual in live versions of this song Billy changes the lyrics somewhat. The main differences are after the "Lie" part Billy sings "Everybody's a liar, I don't trust anyone, Everyone's a liar" & after the "Hole in your head part" Billy sings Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
  13. I Am One 4:09
Recorded Live at MTV, December 26, 1993
I think this track could've been left off the CD, especially since I Am One is already on the Electric set.
