Acoustic Melon Songs- review
by Sachin Bansal
The CD is mislabeled with a total running time of 57:43. The show is actually longer and is 67:20. Also, each track on the CD has a mislabeled track time, for each time is actually longer than listed. See the correct time listings for each track at the bottom of this review.

The old proverb reminds us to "never judge a book by its cover", but it's been scientifically proven that people are influenced to purchase certain books solely based on the artwork and appeal of the covers. I believe the same applies to CDs.

"Acoustic Melon Songs" has a great design. The cover, as you can see, has a neat picture of James and his long hair playing his guitar. The CD itself is quite nice too because it has the tracklisting written on it.

I found the quality of the bootleg was not particularly great, because for a CD bootleg recording, I felt that it could have been better. However, the show is mostly acoustic and definitely worth it, especially if you are not choosy and don't mind the opening track, "Tonight, Tonight" to be misspelled as "Tonight".

Correct tracklist times:
  1. Tonight, Tonight (4:29)
  2. In the Arms of Sleep (4:20)
  3. Cupid de Locke (3:42)
  4. Thirty-Three (4:39)
  5. Today (4:04)
  6. Soma (6:21)
  7. Take Me Down (5:57)
  8. Beautiful (6:53)
  9. Rocket (4:33)
  10. Galapagos (4:45)
  11. To Forgive (4:26)
  12. Bullet with Butterfly Wings (5:02)
  13. Thru the Eyes of Ruby (8:09)
