I know Nicola already wrote a post about being in the video for 
Perfect,so I won't repeat what she already said.
***Please read this, because I talked to Billy and D'Arcy a lot, and 
it's way detailed***
When everyone was on the top floor of the building, the crew people 
selected three girls, (including me) to go outside to the wardrobe 
trailer.We were waiting outside of it for awhile when we saw James drive 
up in a rented greenish Volvo.We were silently freaking out, and I 
wanted to give him a letter that I wrote for Billy, but he just smiled 
at us and didn't say anything.He then went to the 2nd trailer, which was 
behind a gate.
After wardrobe, I went back to the fourth floor, and told ten people my 
James story. Later, they brought racks of cheesy '8o's club kid clothes 
up for people to change into(plaid pants and skirts, leather pants, 
vests, dog collars, tank tops).Then they selected five girls and a guy( 
including me again)to go to the hair trailer.We walked outside, and on 
the side walk I saw a really tall, thin, bald guy dressed in all black.I 
couldn't believe my eyes, and everyone else was behind me whispering"oh 
my gosh..." So I managed to say "Billy" and he stopped walking and 
turned around.Some security guy was trying to shoo me away, but Billy 
told him it was alright.I opened my purse and handed him my letter, and 
said, "This is for you, from me." He smiled, took the purple envelope, 
and said "Thank you." I then told him that his music means so much to me 
and has really helped me over the years. Then, he gave me a hug, and I 
was totally shaking,and I touched his face and it was so soft.While we 
were hugging, he said "That really means a lot me". Now I'm like totally 
beaming, and he said,"So are you here to be in the video today?" and I'm 
like "Yeah" then he said, "Well if I find you later and you're far back 
in the crowd, I'll try and bring you up close to the stage." I told him 
thank you, and he said "You're welcome" then he went behind the gate to 
the first trailer. The whole time, he was just smiling at me, and so was 
Yelena(who was on the other side of Billy).Wow...Billy looked so 
good...Wow.The whole thing was just so beautiful.After I came back from 
the hair trailer, almost all the extras were hanging out by the 
staircase at the fourth floor. I saw all the people I met that day, 
started screaming and I told them the Billy story.I am naturally really 
really loud, so everyone pretty much stopped what they were doing and 
listened. Some people thought I was a freak, others thought I was really 
cool. I shouldn't have said that Billy said he would bring me up close 
to the stage, because when we were at the set, total strangers were 
clinging on to me.
 Later,when the band was on stage (except D'Arcy) Jonathan Dayton picked 
five people(including me!!!) to go up on stage, on a little staircase a 
few feet behind Billy and D'Arcy. Us five(two guys, three girls) were 
screaming when we got there. The staircase was really dirty, and a *hot* 
red light was shinning right on my head and back. It was so awesome 
because in between filming, Billy and D'Arcy would talk to us. The first 
thing I asked Billy was if he had read my letter yet.He said, "Yes I 
did. I liked it very much. It was really sweet," then he smiled and 
paused, then said,"thank you." I was sooo happy I was on the verge of 
crying.Just by the way he said it and the way he looked at me, I knew he 
understood where I was coming from, and he understood my letter.This guy 
in front of me kept on asking Billy stupid questions,just so he would 
talk to us(on many different occasions). Billy told us he bought his 
guitar "just a few days ago, and just decided to use it for the video." 
He said he had "no idea what kind of strings they were" and shrugged. 
Sometimes in between filming, Billy would turn around and play some 
solos just for us five. That guy in front of me told Billy that he had 
"the biggest thumbs he had ever seen" and Billy stopped playing for us, 
examined both of his hands, and gave the rest of us a 'this guy's crazy' 
kind of look(it was so cute). Later, the same guy asked Billy how to 
play the ending of Porcelina, so Billy was playing a weird distorted 
version of it(which only I recognized) and Billy said, really 
cute,"Awww, but we don't play that song any more." I laughed, because 
nobody else understood what he was doing, then he looked right at me, 
winked his right eye at me, and grinned. I just smiled back and died 
right there. Then he showed the guy how to play it. When Billy wasn't 
with us and the film wasn't rolling, he'd make cute little faces back at 
us to make us laugh. During filming, his bottom shirt button came 
undone, and I saw his stomach, it was really cute. Once, D'Arcy dropped 
a pick, and Billy picked it up for her, and everyone was like 'awww, how 
sweet'. Since it was sooo hot(over 100 degrees outside, and we are 
cramped into a crowded room with no windows or fans)crew people got a 
mini fan for Billy,and held it up to his head, armpits, and they aired 
out out the end of his coat near his butt.The five of us laughed at him, 
and he smiled back, laughing and shaking his head. Since they were 
taking requests for songs, Billy and D'Arcy came over to us staircase 
people and asked"what new Pumpkins song do you want to hear from us?" We 
all agreed on Pug, then two seconds later, they began Pug. We were so 
excited and into it. They all seemed to be in good spirit, despite the 
heat, and except when Billy's amp blew up(that's what he told us)but 
they fixed it or something.
D'Arcy talked to us five at every break time. She told us she had no 
sleep the night before but got here late anyways. She was wearing black 
eye make up and joked, "I'm not really wearing make up, its just that 
I'm so tired." She also explained to us how they put in her long 
wig(same kind she wore in Ava Adore), said she might keep it in for two 
weeks, and she has like ten of them. The guy in front of me asked if we 
could hold her guitar, and she just handed it over, and said "just don't 
drop it." Us five took turns holding it and playing it. The same guy 
asked where the photo in the Adore booklet was shot.I said,"Wasn't it 
somewhere not too far from LA?" and she's like, "Yeah, we did it at some 
ranch not too far from here. Where else would you find a forest with 
only on tree?" We all laughed. D'Arcy asked me if I was hot, because the 
red light was shinning only on me, and I said yeah. She said she was 
really hot too, and a crew person got her a fan, and she adjusted it so 
it was on us also. Kenny stopped by to talk to us staircase people, and 
said something about drumming.I told him I really liked his shirt. He 
said thanks and D'Arcy turned around and said "Yeah, I really dig your 
shirt, too". I thought that was cool because my friends say I dress like 
D'Arcy and I actually have a lot of the same clothes as her. When Kenny 
talked to us, he stepped in this nasty flem thing Billy spit out of his 
mouth, right in front of us, earlier.
The steps we were sitting on were next to the piano guy(I can't recall 
his name).He was really nice.He told the five of us about touring with 
David Bowie in the '70's or something, and he said he recorded 15 tracks 
on the new NIN album. NIN is my fourth fav. band(The SP is #1, of 
course), so all he would tell me is "it's really good,Trent was great to 
work with, the rest of the band was really nice,and it might possibly be 
a double album, released around December." He said working with the 
Pumpkins has been his best job ever( I could tell he was chummy with 
Billy, because Billy would sit with him sometimes during breaks, and 
play the piano with him). He also said he's old enough to be Billy's 
dad(he's 52, and said Billy's dad is 51).
James was the only one not to talk to us, but I thought this was funny: 
D'Arcy just opened her mouth to say something to us, then James began 
playing his guitar really loud for no reason(during a break).D'Arcy 
stopped, glared at him, giving him like 'the look of death'. He caught 
her stare, looked really sorry, stopped playing, put his guitar on the 
floor, and walked in the other direction. D'Arcy just shook her head all 
disgusted and said,"I swear...these people..."
It was cool because you could tell she really has control and power in 
the band. BTW, James was playing a flying v thing, and looked the best I 
had ever seen him. When filming ended Billy shook some people's hands in 
the crowd, but none of the five us wanted to shake his hand, because our 
hands were covered in dust and dirt.
Since we were out early, We all saw James leave in his rental 
Volvo.D'Arcy came out the front entrance, and I was the third person to 
get her autograph and picture with her. Since nobody had a pen but me, 
D'Arcy asked to borrow mine for awhile, and told me to stay by her side 
so she could give it back to me. A fan asked her when the Pumpkins will 
ever play in San Diego again, and she said "Maybe in December..."I 
remember reading an interview them saying they wanted to play some extra 
shows in December, so I guess that's what she meant. A lot later Billy 
left from a different exit, in the back seat of a huge red 
Suburban/Expedition type car, with tinted windows, but he waved to us. 
I never imagined I'd ever meet the Pumpkins, let alone go through 
everything I did that day. I'v been a fan for 6 years, obsessed fan for 
3.Every time they came to Los Angeles I was out of the state / country.I 
delayed my trip to Spain for their concert this summer, and delayed my 
trip to Canada to be in the video.I know some of you are saying "it's 
not a big deal to meet the Pumpkins" or whatever, but it was to me. For 
those of you who understand what I mean, I won't have to go into any 
more details. For those of you who don't, it's possible you never will. 
Since the video will be done in two to three weeks, please look for me.I 
don't know if you'll actually see me in it, but I'm on the sitting on 
the steps behind Billy and D'Arcy.There's a bright red light shinning on 
me, I'm wearing black platforms, black capri pants, a dark red kinda 
sparkly sleeveless top, my hair is greased in two big pigtails with 
bright red streaks in my black hair(they did my hair, not me).
The next morning, I called the morning radio show Kevin and the Bean(The 
Face:)on KROQ, and told them about how nice Billy and D'Arcy were.They 
sent me a lame video game the next day.
****QUESTION: When I first met Billy outside when he hugged me, he was 
wearing a short sleeved shirt. I saw his tattoo,on his left arm, for the 
first time ever, but I was so out of it tell what it was. Can anyone 
tell me what exactly it is of??? Karl???All I remember is that it's 
black, I think.
