Billy Corgan - Univibe

Univibe (upper left edge)
Univibe (upper left edge)

Although often considered a chorus effect, the Univibe is actually a staggered series of phaser filters, intended to emulate the "Doppler sound" of rotating Leslie speakers, often used with Hammond organs. It was first made by Shin-Ei in the 1960s, and later by Univox.

A Univibe can be seen in a video of Billy's huge collection of guitar pedals called Stompland.
