Billy Corgan - Fender Telecaster (1973)

1973 Fender Telecaster
1973 Fender Telecaster

Also referred to simply as a "Tele", the Telecaster is a dual-pickup, fixed bridge, solid body electric guitar, first made in 1949. Used on American Gothic's "Again, Again, Again (The Crux)", run through a 60s Selmer amp & double-tracked. Chosen to accompany the electro-acoustic Gibson J-160E without overpowering its punchy lower midrange.
