A snippet discussing amps & other gear that appears to be from Billy's guitar tech, which appeared on Forever Sound, reads "A 70's Roland chorus on I of the Mourning". After much research, I have taken this to mean a JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp (which Billy is known to have owned before he bought his SOUL Marshall amp & cabinet), which was introduced in 1975.
[product page | wiki] It is possible, however, that this refers to either the Roland DC50 "Digital Chorus" pedal (1976) [info], which wasn't actually digital, or possibly the Boss (subsidiary of Roland) CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, one of the first Boss pedals [info].
