Paz Lenchantin was born in Argentina, moved with her family to LA at age 4, took piano lessons at age 5, violin lessons at 8, and taught herself to play guitar at 12. She was a member of A Perfect Circle before being brought in as bassist for Zwan in spring 2002. In 2002, she formed the all-female supergroup The Chelsea with former Pumpkins bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, although the band played only 1 show. After Zwan split up in 2003, Paz joined bandmate David Pajo on his solo tour as Papa M. She later returned to A Perfect Circle on piano and strings for their cover album eMOTIVe, and performed a solo cover of "The Hollow" on aMOTION, both of which also include former Pumpkin James Iha. She has also contributed on albums by Melissa Auf der Maur, Jenny Lewis, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Her 2 solo albums are available from her myspace page.
