Nicole Fiorentino

Wikipedia article | twitter | blog

Born April 8, 1979 in Ludlow, MA, Nicole Fiorentino joined the Smashing Pumpkins in 2010 after previous bassist, Ginger Pooley, left the band to focus on her family. Nicole had previously played bass with Veruca Salt, Spinnerette, and Light FM, who were one of the openers at the 2009 "Backwards Clock Society" concert. She currently has another band called The Cold and Lovely with Meghan Toohey and a number of other rotating members, including Hole drummer Patty Schemel.

In February 2011, Nicole commented on the Pumpkins' facebook page that she was one of the girls on the Siamese Dream cover, which Billy then tweeted. While many fans saw this for the joke that it was, some fans and even a few online media sites ran the story seriously, and then later chastised Billy for pulling a "twitter prank".

As of 2014, it is unclear whether Nicole will be part of the next Pumpkins tour.
